BROTHEL CREEPERS

With the crepe sole Brothel Creepers were first worn by soldiers  in the Second World War based in North Africa. They were perfect for the environment as they were a hard wearing sole. 
Then in the 1950's Teddy boys dressed in drainpipe trousers & quiffs, adapted the creepers. 
In the past decade these shoes were sold by Underground and were mainly worn by punks/goths.
For the past year or two they have been coming back with a vengeance. Think New Romantic.
